Privacy Policy
BankCodeKit is designed around no-login, browser-local payment-code checks. This page explains the privacy approach in plain language.
Local Browser Processing
User-entered IBANs, BICs, invoice details, CSV rows, account-like values, payee names, amounts, currencies, and payment references are processed locally in your browser for format review.
These values are not sent to BankCodeKit servers, analytics tools, advertising scripts, logs, browser storage, or URLs.
No Account Detail Storage
BankCodeKit does not require user accounts and does not store full IBANs, BICs, invoices, CSV rows, account numbers, or payment details in browser storage, cookies, or remote systems.
Analytics And Advertising
BankCodeKit may use advertising services on content pages. If ads are active, Google and third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, and policy compliance.
Google Analytics is not active unless this page or the site explicitly states otherwise. Any analytics or advertising implementation must keep user-entered IBANs, BICs, invoice details, CSV rows, account numbers, payee names, amounts, currencies, and payment references out of analytics events, ad requests, ad scripts, server logs, browser storage, and URLs.
Operational And Advertising Data
The local-input rule above is separate from ordinary technical data used to deliver and protect a website. Hosting, security, consent, Google, and advertising vendors may process an IP address, user agent, cookies, web beacons, or device/browser information for site delivery, abuse prevention, consent handling, ad delivery, measurement, and policy compliance. This operational data must not include the raw payment details entered into BankCodeKit tools.
When personalized ads are served to users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, Google requires a certified consent management platform (CMP) that integrates with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. A CMP may be configured through an advertising platform rather than this codebase, so BankCodeKit does not claim a consent system is active unless it is actually enabled and shown to the user.
Privacy Rights
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or another applicable privacy law applies, you may have the right to access personal data about you, request rectification of inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, request data portability, object to processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These rights can depend on the processing purpose, legal basis, location, and statutory exceptions.
BankCodeKit does not receive the raw IBANs, BICs, invoices, CSV rows, account numbers, payee names, amounts, currencies, or payment references entered into its browser-local tools. A rights request may instead concern ordinary operational data handled for hosting, security, consent, or advertising. Some of that data may be held by a service provider under its own retention and verification process.
To exercise an applicable right, use the contact details and describe the request without sending payment details. Reasonable identity verification may be required before disclosing or changing personal data. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country.
Advertising Choices
You can manage personalization for Google advertising through Google My Ad Center . Google explains which settings apply to Google services and partner sites. Turning off personalized ads does not stop all advertising; non-personalized or contextual ads may still appear.
The Digital Advertising Alliance's YourAdChoices controls provide browser and app choices for participating companies. Those choices do not cover every advertising provider and can depend on the browser, device, cookies, or identifier used.
Where a consent banner is shown, use its settings to review or change the choices available for this site. Browser controls and vendor opt-out tools are separate from requests made directly to BankCodeKit.
Email Safety
Please do not email IBANs, BICs, invoices, CSV files, account numbers, payment references, or other sensitive financial details. BankCodeKit cannot verify payment details by email.
Format Review Limits
BankCodeKit checks format and reference data only. It does not confirm account existence, account ownership, bank connectivity, sanctions status, fraud risk, payment readiness, or payment success.
